Snippets of My Life in Pakistan!

There is nothing in this world I love more than coming back to Pakistan, coming home to my house and family! I travel every few months between UAE and Pakistan and I consider both of these countries my home- but Pakistan holds a special place in my heart, as it is my identity, where I was born and raised and it is the place where most of my loved ones reside.

A couple of weeks ago, I came back to Pakistan and I thought I'd share what my life is like there. So, ENJOY!

The first day when I got back home, I was greeted by 3 new members of the family!

My family have never had cats as pets. We have always been a dog family. I grew up with 7 German Shepherds, Springer Spaniels and my beloved Spike who was a mixed breed. Spike passed away a couple of months ago and the house was just so empty without his presence. It was only a matter of time before we got another pet. So, having cats in the house is a new ball game altogether. But nonetheless, these 3 little kittens are such a joy

I just can't get over how cute and cuddly they are! My niece is crazy about them, she doesn't leave their side for a minute!

Coming to my niece Alisha- what can I say other than she is my pride and joy and the love of my life. She is the cutest and friendliest kids I have ever met! I didn't think it was possible to love someone as much as I love her!

My brother, sister in law and cousin also went on a road trip to the south of Punjab- we didn't stop anywhere, but just drove around- so the pictures I took are basically from inside the car.

And that's one of my two brothers driving us around! :)

I'm not even going to pretend to know what the places we drove to were because I have no idea! But they are so worth seeing!

When I'm in Dubai, I crave home food so much and I can't cook to save my life. So being able to eat simple home cooked food gives me great joy!

In my house it's my 2 brothers, sister in law, niece, cousin and myself- the rest of the house is the staff (cook, drivers, cleaners, guards- and their guests). Seriously, my house is an open house and sometimes I don't even know who some of them are!
But I guess- that is what Pashtuns are known for! Hospitality! I wouldn't change a thing in the system. It just works for us!

Above is one of the women who works for us, bringing tea for her guests in the driveway.

What else do I do in the house? Well to be honest, not much, just lounge around in my room or my brothers' and just hang out together!

Excuse the ancient looking fabric on the sofas (lol)... but that's on the way to my bedroom and the second picture is the door to my room!

My lazy self on the couch, on my phone - typical.

This is me, on another couch, being lazy and on my phone!
My cousin admiring himself in the mirror in my room!

Street view and my driveway from my window! The sky looks amazing!!!
In my brothers room, drinking tea and on the laptop! Told you, I'm lazy and a tea lover! Don't know what my brother has done to the wall in his room though?
Late night walks in my house, in the driveway- always freaks me out. Ever since I was a kid, every time I go downstairs in the dark, I feel something/one is going to pop out of the bushes!

Well anyway guys, this was a little insight into my life in Pakistan! I hope you liked this post and got an idea about who I am and what I like to do!

Do let me know, what other topics you'd like me to write about! I'm always up for suggestions!
I also apologize for this post being all over the place and not being too coherent. I've just been busy with family!
