Scotland the Beautiful

Being obsessed with castles, fairytales and beautiful landscapes, I couldn't be more fortunate to be able to visit Scotland. Sadly, I only had three days in Edinburgh but it was worth every second of it.

The journey started from Leeds - took the train to Edinburgh, explored the old and new town. Hiked up to Arthur's Seat, which I didn't realise I was going to do so I wasn't prepared at all. Wasn't wearing proper attire and definitely not proper shoes. My feet cursed me for the rest of my UK trip but the hike up was worth that pain. It was absolutely magical to see the city from the top with the clouds floating around us.

On one of the days we rented a car and drove to Stonehaven which was a couple of hours away to visit Dunnottar Castle. It is a ruined medieval fortress that has some great history behind it. It's located on rocky cliffs. Luckily we had a bright sunny day, that made the views spectacular of the vibrant blue seas, the sounds of waves hitting the rocks and me sitting on the hills taking it all in.

If anyone ever visits Scotland, I highly recommend visiting Stonehaven. After spending a couple of hours at the castle we drove to the Bay fish and Chips to have well, fish and chips. I'm not even a fan of fried fish but this was the best I had. Sadly, the trip to Stonehaven was just a day but I'll be back one day, that's for sure.

I'm including some of my favorite pictures of Scotland, I hope you enjoy them as much as I did being there.
